Standard Terms and Conditions of Sale

This page is provided to promote responsible pet ownership and to ensure that both you and your pet enjoy a happy and healthy time together. All purchasers of Teknocat Kittens will be expected to sign a copy of this agreement at the time of purchase.

Please be aware that all our cats / kittens are reared in an indoor environment - in most circumstances it is preferable to keep your cat / kitten as an indoor pet any periods spent outside should be in a fully enclosed garden or run with adequate supervision.

1.	Provide a suitable loving home with a warm and comfortable environment with plenty of opportunity for play and exercise with frequent human attention.
2.	Provide free access to drinking water at all times.
3.	Provide adequate quantities of a suitable food i.e. Hills Science Plan, Royal Canin, Techni-Cal
4.	Provide access to a litter tray if kept inside.
5.	Groom regularly and treat for fleas and worms.
6.	Ensure your Cat has its annual booster vaccination and health check by a suitably qualified vet.
7.	Ensure that the Kitten is neutered between 6-9 months of age (unless agreed in writing by Teknocat British Shorthair Cats) by a suitably qualified vet.
8.	Not to use your Teknocat British Shorthair Cat for breeding purposes or to show your kitten/cat in competition (unless agreed in writing by Teknocat British Shorthair Cat)
9.	Seek veterinarian attention immediately if there appears to be a problem with your cats health.
10.	Contact Teknocat British Shorthair Cats if you need to re-home your kitten /cat - new owners need to receive our prior approval.
11.	Not to de-claw, cut the tendons or otherwise mutilate your kitten / cat.
12.	If the kitten/cat is found to be neglected or in ill health for an unreasonable length of time the purchaser will unconditionally surrender the said kitten/cat.

1.	If you agree to these terms and conditions please register your interest on our Kitten List page.
2.	We will contact you as soon as a suitable kitten is available.
3.	At between 2-6 weeks of age you will be sent photographs of the available kitten(s) and be invited to see him/her.
4.	At this point a non-refundable deposit of £100 is required to secure your chosen kitten.
5.	Teknocat British Shorthair Cats reserve the right under special circumstances to refund your deposit and withdraw from the kitten sale.

1.	Registration of the Kitten's Pedigree with the GCCF.
2.	GCCF Transfer Document on proof of neutering by your Vet..*
3.	A five generation pedigree.
4.	Advice on looking after your kitten.
5.	Assistance in re-homing your Teknocat Kitten/Cat if needed.

6.	Are all vaccinated against flu and enteritis before leaving for new homes.
7.	Are wormed and treated for fleas.
8.	Are provided with insurance for the first 6 weeks in their new home. Refer to Pet Plan for details.
9.	Have been hand reared in a normal home environment.
10.	Are fully litter trained.
11.	Are able to go to new homes at the age of 12 weeks or older as per the GCCF rules and regulations.
12.	We guarantee our kittens to be FELV and FIV negative at the time of sale.

1.	Micro-chipping of your kitten and registration on the Petlog Database - probably the safest and most reliable method of identification £15 per kitten - at the time of purchase.
2.	2Kg bag of Royal Canin Kitten 34 dry food £7.50 - after deduction of your introductory voucher - supplied at the time of purchase.


	All legal costs resulting from violations against any conditions stipulated in this contract will be at the expense of the purchaser.

	If any provision of this contract is found to be unenforceable, it shall not effect any other provision, which shall remain in full force and effect.

	This agreement sets forth the entire understandings between the parties and supersedes and cancels all previous understandings, negotiations and agreements, whether oral or written, with respect to the subject matter of this agreement. No changes, alterations or modifications of this agreement will be effective unless in writing and signed by the parties hereto.
